Women in Music - Minnesota has many different events including a monthly all women's jam (more info below), Songwriting contest, showcases and we have meetings. General meetings are held annually. For more specific updates on any event, be sure to check "Rebekka's Corner" on the home page. The all women's jam is at 7:30pm on the 4th Sunday of the month and goes until about 10:30pm. This is open to all ages, is free and open to the public. Check the hotline to see if there is a rehearsal before the jam or not. The Jam dates for 2008 is scheduled for the 4th Sunday of the month. Sunday May 25th, Sunday June 22nd, Sunday July 27th, August 24th, Sept. 28th, Oct 26th (Holloween Party!), November 23rd, and December 28th.

The general meeting has not been scheduled at this time.
The all women's jam is the last Sunday of the month. It starts at 7:30 and usually goes until 10 or 10:30. It is all ages and is free.
If you are a singer, please bring your own lyrics. If you would like to play a song that's not on our list, please bring a 3 copies of a chord chart (including originals). Must be a female to get on stage. We allow solo acts and bands to play on the break, as long as there is a female front person. Everyone is welcome to come and listen!
The band plays from 7:30 to 8:30. The break is from 8: to 9pm and that is when solo performers or bands can come up and play. It's on a "first come first serve" basis. So, get there early. A sound system, microphones, drum set, guitar amp, keyboard, bass and bass amp are provided and you are welcome to use them. Please no solo acts before the jam starts. We usually practice from 5:30 – 7pm right before the jam in the same place.
