Hello, and welcome to the website for Women Reign.
Women Reign is an annual showcase and fundraiser put on by WIMMN, a non profit 501 C 3 to help women in music. This event helps to recognize the talented women in our community while raising money for the women’s homeless shelter.

Women Reign, is scheduled for a Sunday, November 8th, 2009

Our vision is to give women 1. Support, 2. Education, 3. Exposure and promotion and 4. Starting a conscious change of how society see women in music. It is to keep hope in women's dreams alive be staying in the music, making the appropriate choices for themselves and

1. Support is provided by networking, gatherings, and boosting confidence. 2. Education is offered through seminars, panels, discussion groups, classes, leadership role models and helping to give experience. 3. Exposure and promotion is given through showcase opportunities, CD compilations, internet radio shows, and access to women in the field. 4. The change on society's views is both internal and external. By nurturing confidence and inner strength, we can start the change of how we see ourselves, effecting how others see us. Externally, we want to free our status from "gimmick" to substance. From seen as sex first to a musician first, we want to raise the bar of musicianship and business leadership to start a totally equal world of music.

This showcase is more than a performance, we are creating a supportive community for women and their music. We are promoting the talented and hard working women and girls of our area while raising money for many worthy causes. One of our donations is the Tubman Family Alliance located in Mpls. It is transition housing for women and their children to get back on their feet. They help women find jobs, provide child care and help them leave violent situations.
